		Insane Snowboard Gap Jump Romain DeMarchi flies over 110 ft SuperPipe Gap Think of the craziest idea of something to do on a snowboard. If you thought of jumping the 110 ft gap of a SuperPipe halfpipe, then you are just as insane as Romain DeMarchi. This happened at Stratton, VT the day after the US Open snowboard champoinships in 2004. This is so nuts, in part because there are no do-overs on this kind of a thing. This is a case where there is no choice but to go huge. Giving up any speed might result in not clearing the gap. Not clearing the gap translates into running directly into the vert on the opposite side of the half pipe. Not a move for the faint of heart.
